EIGHT (8) SIGNS OF A HEALTHY HEART
1. One considers himself as belonging to the next world and not this world. He is a stranger in this world anxious to reach his abode in the Hereafter.
2. One continues to be upset with himself anytime he commits a sin until he finally and completely repents to Allah.
3. One is more upset and unhappy if he misses his daily recitation of the Qur’an and dhikr, than if he had lost his wealth.
4. One finds greater pleasure worshiping Allah than any pleasure in eating and drinking.
5. One’s worries and concerns about this world leave him whenever he begins his formal prayers.
6. One’s only concern and worries are about Allah and doing deeds only for His sake.
7. One is more concerned and stingy about wasting time than a greedy person is with respect to his wealth.
8. One is more concerned about the correctness of his deeds than with the performance of the deeds themselves.
- Ibn Qayyim (Rahimahullah)
May Allah (SWT) continue to make our hearts healthy. Amin
HOW TO CHOOSE A HUSBAND IN ISLAM?
QUESTION:
What are the most important factors for a woman in choosing a husband? If she rejects a righteous man for some worldly reasons, will she be punished by Allaah?
ANSWER:
Praise be to Allah.
The most important factors for a woman in choosing a husband are his attitude/behaviour and his commitment to religion. Wealth and lineage are secondary matters. The most important thing is that the potential husband should be religious and have a good attitude, because if a man has religious commitment and a good attitude, a woman has nothing to lose: if he keeps her (remains married to her), he will keep her on a reasonable basis, and if he divorces her, he will set her free on a reasonable basis. Moreover, a man who is religious and has a good attitude will be a blessing to her and her children, for they will learn good manners and religion from him. But if the prospective husband is not like that (is not religious), she should keep away from him, especially those who take the matter of prayer lightly or who are known to drink alcohol. We seek refuge with Allah.
As for those who do not pray at all, they are kuffar and it is not permissible for them to marry believing women. It is important for the woman to focus on the matter of attitude and religious commitment. With regard to the matter of lineage, this is a bonus. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “If there comes to you (to propose marriage to your daughter etc.) a man with whose religious commitment and attitude you are pleased, then marry (your daughter) to him.”
But if you can manage to ensure compatibility (in terms of lineage and socio-economic status, etc.) as well, then this is better.
••• WE ARE EXTREMELY RICH, YET WE DON'T KNOW IT •••
Once a person came to a Sheikh (Islamic scholar) and complained to him about his own poverty, saying that he was in great distress and would prefer death to such a life.
The Sheikh said to him, "Are you willing to have your eyes taken out in exchange for ten thousand Dirhams (Silver coins)." He replied "Certainly not."
The Shaikh said "Would you like to have your tongue plucked out and get ten thousand Dirhams in return?" The man said, "Of course not."
The Shaikh said, "Would you agree to having both your hands and feet cut off in return for twenty thousand Dirhams." The man said that he would not.
The Sheikh asked "Are you willing to be made a mad man and get ten thousand Dirhams in return?" The man said that he was not willing.
At this, the Shaikh said to him, "Are you not ashamed of yourself? You admit that Allah Ta'ala has granted you so many precious gifts, the value whereof, in your own estimation, exceeds
fifty thousand Dirhams (counting only a few gifts, by way of illustration) and yet you complain of poverty!"
fifty thousand Dirhams (counting only a few gifts, by way of illustration) and yet you complain of poverty!"

♥ MORAL OF THE STORY ♥
The value of the above mentioned gifts can be fully understood when we lose them. Let us be more thankful to our Lord.
People will always judge! (beautiful story)
The story is about a family consisting of three people, Abdullah (The Father), Sameena (The Mother) and their son Zahid.
One day, Abdullah came home and told his wife and son that they needed to move to a new house in the nearby village because his current workplace was shifted to that village.
During olden days people used to travel on horses and camels. The family also had a Camel which they used as a means of transport. They started their journey to the new place. After helping his wife and son mount the camel, Abdullah decided to walk and thus guide the camel.
When they reached first village on their way to their destination, they found something weird about the onlookers of that village, they heard people say “Look at that poor father, he has a young son and he is of no use to his father. The young boy instead of leading the camel himself is making his aged father do all the work and he is enjoying on top of the camel” Zahid felt guilty and climbed down the camel, made his father sit on the camel and started guiding the camel.
Upon reaching the next village, they heard people say “Look at the shameless father, he is so energetic and his son so weak, and yet he makes his son do that difficult task of guiding the camel” Abdullah got embarrassed and decided to walk along with the son and guide the camel.
They reached the next village and heard people of that village say, “Just look at that lady sitting on top of the camel having a fun ride while her poor husband and son are walking in the scorching hot weather” so Sameena got down and started walking with her husband and son.
The people of next village said “Look at these unthankful people, God gave them a means of transport and they are not using it in an efficient way. They could have used it to travel” On hearing that all three sat on the camel and continued their journey.
The next village people told, “Oh my God! Just look at the family, they are such oppressors. They are burdening the poor animal with all their weight and luggage. They are heartless people” So all of them got down, and confused they took the camel and started carrying it on their heads.
When they reached the next village people there started laughing for they never saw anybody carry a camel on their head. This sight was amusing to them.
The three of them put the camel down and sat there not knowing what to do next.
MORAL OF THE STORY
It is the nature of people. If you do a thing with a mindset of pleasing someone you will end up hurting others (intentionally or unintentionally) because you only thought of pleasing a particular person and didn’t think about the rest.
Different people, different opinion and different thoughts. So the best thing to do is to do things with an intention to please God, because people might forget the good that you did, but God never forgets your good deeds.
Please your Creator not People!!!
May Allah (SWT) endow us with the ability and strength to please Him alone and establish us firm on His righteous path. Amin.
BAKER AND A PIOUS MAN
A baker wanted to get to know a great Pious man in his town a little better, so he invited him to dinner. The day before, the pious man went to the bakery disguised as a beggar, picked a bread roll off the display and began to eat it. The baker saw this and tossed him out into the street.
The following day, the pious man and a disciple went to the baker’s house and were treated to a splendid banquet.
In the middle of the meal, the disciple asked, "How does one tell a good man from a bad man?"
"Just look at this baker. He is capable of spending ten gold pieces on a banquet because I am famous, but is incapable of giving a piece of bread to feed a hungry
beggar."

Allah does not look at faces He looks at our Hearts.
THE BEAUTY OF A WOMAN.
The beauty of a woman lies IN HER SILENCE rather than her speech..
The beauty of a woman lies IN HER VEIL rather than her face..
The beauty of a woman lies IN HER SUBMISSION rather that her leadership..
The beauty of a woman lies IN HER SMILE rather than her laughter..
The beauty of a woman lies IN HER PATIENCE rather than her inquisitiveness ..
The beauty of a woman lies IN HER ABODE rather than her adventure..
The beauty of a woman lies IN HER OFFSPRING rather than herself..

The beauty of a woman lies IN HER HEART DEPTH rather than in skin deep..
The beauty of a woman lies IN HER KITCHEN rather than in cubicles..
The beauty of a woman lies in her PERSPIRATION rather than her perfumes..
The beauty of a woman lies in her LORD because He is the Creator of such a beautiful creation called “Woman".
FIFTY SEVEN (57) WAYS OF WINNING YOUR HUSBAND'S LOVE

2. Dress pleasantly and attractively. If you are a home-maker, don’t stay in your sleeping suit all day.
3. Smell good.
4. Don’t lay out all your problems on your husband as soon as he walks in. Give him a little mental break.
5. Don’t keep asking him ‘what are you thinking?’ because unlike women, men’s thoughts are as random as the results of a google search. Women on the other hand have thoughts as organized as a labeled file-cabinet!
6. Stop nagging non-stop before Allah gives you something really to complain about.
7. Absolutely no talking about your spousal problems to anyone you meet under the pretense of seeking help, even if you are the victim. If you think you want to solve legitimate marital issues then go seek counseling with the right person.
8. Be kind to your mother-in-law the same way you would like your husband to be kind to your own mother.
9. Learn all the rights and obligations of each other in Islam.
10. Race to the door when he comes home, as if you were waiting for him. Smile and hug.
11. Keep your house clean, at least to the level that he wants it.
12. Compliment him on the things you know he’s not so confident about (looks, intelligence etc). This will build his self-esteem.
13. Tell him he’s the best husband.
14. Call his family often.
15. Give him a simple task to do at home and then thank him when he does it. This will encourage him to do more.
16. When he’s talking about something boring, listen and nod your head. Even ask questions to make it seem like you’re interested.
17. Encourage him to do good deeds.
18. If he’s in a bad mood, give him some space. He’ll get over it, Insha Allah.
19. Thank him sincerely for providing you with food and shelter. It’s a big deal.
20. If he’s angry with you and starts yelling, let him yell it out while you’re quiet. You will see your fight will end a lot faster. Then when he’s calm, you can tell him your side of the story and how you want him to change something.
21. When you’re mad at him, don’t say ‘you make me furious,’ rather say, ‘this action makes me upset.’ Direct your anger to the action and circumstance rather than at him.
22. Remember that your husband has feelings, so take them into consideration.
23. Let him chill out with his friends without guilt, especially if they’re good guys. Encourage him to go out, so he doesn’t feel cooped up at home.
24. If your husband is annoyed over a little thing you do (and you can control it), then stop doing it.
25. Learn how to tell him what you expect without him having to guess all the time. Learn to communicate your feelings.
26. Don’t get mad over small things. It’s not worth it.
27. Make jokes. If you’re not naturally funny, find some jokes on the internet.
28. Tell him you’re the best wife and compliment yourself on certain things you know you’re good at.
29. Learn to make his favorite dish.
30. Don’t ever, ever talk bad about him with friends or family unnecessarily.
31. Use your time wisely and get things accomplished. If you’re a housewife, take online classes and be active in your community. This will not only make you happy but will impress your husband too.
32. Do all of the above (i.e. trying to please your husband) for the sake of Allah and you will see Allah’s blessings in everything you do.
33. Spouses are garments for each other; hide your husband’s faults and help him get over them wisely.
34. Tell your husband you love him, many many times.
35. Have a race with your husband and let him win, even if you are much fitter than him.
36. Be fit and take care of your health; you will remain a strong mother, wife, cook and housekeeper.
37. Cultivate good manners. Do not be too loud, whether while laughing, talking or even walking.
38. Do not leave the house without his permission and certainly not without his knowledge.
39. Make sure all his clothes are clean and pressed so they always look fresh and crisp.
40. Ask Allah to strengthen and preserve the bonds of compassion and love between the two of you, every day in every prayer. Truly Satan’s most treasured act is to create rifts between couples to the point of divorce. Seek Allah’s refuge from Satan.
41. They say the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach, and that’s really true.
42. Make sure you always have something for dinner.
43. Brush your hair everyday.
44. Don’t forget to do the laundry.
45. Surprise him with gifts. Even necessities can be gifts, like a pair of new shoes.
46. Listen to him when he’s talking. Don’t interject him and talk about your own issues.
47. Try (hard as it might be) to take interest in his hobbies (bowling?). Try not to go shopping too much and spend all his money.
48. Look attractive and it’s fine, in fact good, to be seductive towards him.
49. Learn tricks and techniques to please your husband in intimacy.
50. Prepare for special evenings with him with special dinner and exclusive time (no children permitted).
51. Take care of your skin, especially the face, which is the center of attraction.
52. If you are not satisfied intimately, talk to him and help him. Don’t wait till matters become worse.
53. Never discuss important or controversial matters with him when he is tired or sleepy. Find the right time for the right discussion.
54. Learn to compromise.
55. Continue to do things for your husband and don’t take him for granted.
56. Respect his rights (he’s your road to paradise).
57. Make tea for him or whatever hot drink he likes, it will soothe his rough edges.

With this Hadith then, whoever plan to engage himself or herself to commit fornication and adultery should think of above members of his or her family first.
May Allah {SWT} continue to guide what is between our legs and lips.

The story of a pious man

There lived a pious man all by himself, who spent most of his time in praying, fasting and praising Allah. Almost all his waking hours were utilised in meditation and devotions. He was very happy with his spiritual progress. No wicked thoughts came to his mind and no evil temptations entered his heart.
One night, he dreamt a rather disturbing dream. He saw that a shopkeeper in the town was far superior to him in spirituality and that he must go to him to learn the basics of true spiritual life. In the morning, the pious man went in search of the shopkeeper.
He found him busy with his customers, selling goods and collecting money with a cheerful face. He sat there in a corner of the shop and watched the shopkeeper carefully. No signs of any spiritual life at all, he said to himself. His dream could not be true. But then he saw the shopkeeper disappear to pray his Salah.
When he returned, he was busy dealing with money matters again. The shopkeeper noticed the pious man sitting in the corner and asked: “As Salamu Alaikum, would you like something, brother?” “Wa Alaikum As Salam. Oh! No! No!” said the pious man. “I don’t want to buy anything, but I want to ask you a question.”
He then related his dream. “Well, that is very simple to explain,” said the shopkeeper, “but you will have to do something for me before I answer your question.” “I will do anything for you,” replied the pious man. “All right! Take this saucer; there is some mercury in it.
Go to the other end of the street and come back fast within half an hour. If the mercury falls out of the saucer, you will hear nothing from me. There you go now.” The pious man took the saucer and started running. The mercury nearly wobbled out of the saucer. He saved it just in time, and slowed down.
Then he remembered he had to return within half an hour, so he started walking at a fast pace. At long last he returned puffing and panting. “Here is your mercury, safe and sound,” he told the shopkeeper. “Now tell me the true interpretation of my dream.”
The shopkeeper looked at the pious man’s weary condition and asked him: “Well, friend, how many times did you remember Allah while you were going from this end of the street to the other?” “Remember Allah!” exclaimed the pious man. “I did not remember Him at all.
I was so worried about the mercury in the saucer.” “But I do remember Him all the time,” said the shopkeeper. “When I am doing my business, I am also carrying mercury in a saucer. I am fair, honest and kind to my customers. I never forget Allah Ta’ala in my dealings with other men.”
“Men whom neither trade nor sale (business) diverts from the remembrance of Allah (with heart and tongue) nor from performing As-Salaah (Iqaamat-as-Salaah) nor from giving the Zakaah. They fear a Day when hearts and eyes will be overturned (out of the horror of the torment of the Day of Resurrection). That Allaah may reward them according to the best of their deeds, and add even more for them out of His Grace. And Allaah provides without measure to whom He wills”
[Al Quran, Surah an-Noor 24:37-38]
Dear Sister...
Don't be like some girls who are pleased by seducing men and proud of being surrounded by many guys...
Remember, cheap items are usually surrounded by many buyers...
Don’t try to win a boy’s love and lose Allah’s satisfaction.
But be like a star, so far no one can reach you, so dear, bright and shining, guiding people with the light of your good deeds.
Be like a pearl, so precious, well protected in your shell (Hijab), the only one who can have you is the right man who would realize your true value and cherish your protected beauty.
Just be a true and strong Mujahidah fighting against all the fitnah and temptations around her.
¤ ¤ ¤ DON'T CHANGE THE WORLD ¤ ¤ ¤
Once upon a time, there was a king who ruled a prosperous country.
One day, he went for a trip to some distant areas of his country.
When he was back to his palace, he complained that his feet were very painful, because it was the first time that he went for such a long trip, and the road that he went through was very rough and stony.
He then ordered his people to cover every road of the entire country with leather.
Definitely, this would need thousands of cows’ skin, and would cost a huge amount of money.
Then one of his wise servants dared himself to tell the king,
“Why do you have to spend that unnecessary amount of money?
Why don’t you just cut a little piece of leather to cover your feet?”
The king was surprised, but he later agreed to his suggestion, to make a “shoe” for himself.
There is actually a valuable lesson of life in this story: to make this world a happy place to live,
¤ ¤ ¤ You better change yourself - your heart; and not the world ¤ ¤ ¤
Let their mother be with them!
A young man came before the Rasoolulah with a carpet and said,
"O Rasoolulah! I passed through a wood and heard the voices of young birds; and I took and put them into my carpet; and their mother came fluttering around my head, and I uncovered the young, and the mother fell down upon them, then I wrapped them up in my
carpet; and there are the young which I have."
Then the Rasoolulah said, "Put them down." And when he did so, their mother joined them: and Muhammad {SAW} said,
"Do you wonder at the affection of the mother towards her young?
I swear by Him who hath sent me, verily God is more loving to His creatures than the mother to these young birds.
Return them to the place from which ye took them, and let their mother be with them."
Allahu Akbar!!!
When Allah orders, even the devil obeys! (amazing story)

A very poor woman with a small family called-in to a radio station asking for help from Allah.
A non-believer man who was also listening to this radio program decided to make fun of the woman.
He got her address, called his secretary and ordered her to buy a large amount of foodstuffs and take to the woman.
However, he sent it with the following instruction: "When the woman asks who sent the food, tell her that its from the devil.''
When the secretary arrived at the woman's house, the woman was so happy and grateful for the help that had been received.
She started putting the food inside her small house.
The Secretary then asked her,
''Don't you want to know who sent the food?''
The woman replied, ''No, I don't even care because when Allah orders, even the devil obeys!

The young man with strong desires...(beautiful story)
A young man came to a Sheikh and said :
“I am a young man with strong desires.
I cannot help looking at women when I am in the bazaar (market). What do I do?”
The Sheikh handed him A CUP OF MILK THAT WAS FULL TO THE BRIM, and told him to deliver it to an address that would take the young man directly through the bazaar.
He then instructed the young man that the milk should not spill, and the young man said that it would not.
The Sheikh then summoned one of his students and told him to accompany the man through the bazaar to the destination, and to severely beat him if any milk were to spill.
The young man successfully took the milk to the destination and returned to give the good news to the Sheikh.
The Sheikh asked, “Tell me, how many sights and faces did you see in the bazaar?”
The young man replied incredulously : “Sheikh, I didn’t even realize what was going on around me.
I was only fearful of the beating and disgrace that I would have to endure in public if a drop of milk were to spill.”
The Sheikh smiled and said : “It is the same with a believer. The believer fears that his sins will be
a cause of great disgrace for him in front of Allah on the Day of Judgment if his faith were to spill over from his heart.” Such people save themselves from sin because they constantly remain focused on the Day of Judgement!
May Allah {SWT} make us among al-muttaqun {the pious}. Amin
Give your hundred percent !
A boy and a girl were playing together.
The boy had a collection of marbles.
The girl had some sweets with her.
The boy told the girl that he will give her all his marbles in exchange for her sweets.
The girl agreed.
The boy kept the biggest and the most beautiful marble aside and gave the rest to the girl.
The girl gave him all her sweets as she had promised.
That night, the girl slept peacefully.
But, the boy couldn’t sleep as he kept wondering if the girl had hidden some sweets from him, the way he had hidden his best marble.
MORAL OF THE STORY:
If you don’t give your hundred percent in a relationship, you’ll always keep doubting if the other person has given his/her hundred percent.
This is applicable for any relationship like love, employer-employee relationship etc.,
Give your hundred percent to everything you do and sleep peacefully.
DO NOT MARRY SEVEN (7) TYPES OF MEN

1. A man that can not provide for you.
2. A man that is not Muslim.
3. A man that does not pray.
4. A man that is not capable of loving you.
5. A man that wants dowry.
6. A man whose character and deen do not please you.
7. A man who does not love you for the sake of ALLAH (God), rather loves to show you off and for you to reveal your beauty to other men.
I MAKE A DIFFERENCE!

One man, a CEO, decided to explain the problem with education. He argued, ”What’s a kid going to learn from someone who decided his best option in life was to become a teacher?”
To stress his point he said to another guest; “You’re a teacher, Bonnie. Be honest. What do you make?”
Bonnie, who had a reputation for honesty and frankness replied,
“You want to know what I make? (She paused for a second, then began…)
“Well, I make kids work harder than they ever thought they could.
I make kids sit through 40 minutes of class time when their parents can’t make them sit for 5 minutes without an IPad, Game Cube or movie rental.
You want to know what I make? (She paused again and looked at each and every person at the table)
I make kids wonder.
I make them question.
I make them apologize and mean it.
I make them have respect and take responsibility for their actions.
I teach them to write and then I make them write.. Keyboarding isn’t everything.
I make them read, read, read.
I make them show all their work in math. They use their God given brain, not the man-made calculator.
I make my students from other countries learn everything they need to know about English while preserving their unique cultural identity.
I make my classroom a place where all my students feel safe.
Finally, I make them understand that if they use the gifts they were given, work hard, and follow their hearts, they can succeed in life.
(Bonnie paused one last time and then continued.)
Then, when people try to judge me by what I make, with me knowing money isn’t everything, I can hold my head up high and pay no attention because they are ignorant.
You want to know what I make?
I MAKE A DIFFERENCE. What do you make Mr. CEO?
His jaw dropped, he went silent.

Teaching is…the profession that makes all other professions possible!
Kudos to all my teachers and may Allah (SWT) continue to bless your lives. Amin

life remains the same, exactly the same. But the amount we taste the ‘pain’ depends on the container we put it into. So when you are in pain, the only thing you can do is to
enlarge your sense of things.

Teenagers who wanted to watch the movie...

Two teenagers asked their father if they could go to the movie theater to watch a movie that all their friends had seen, he denied their request.
“Ah dad, why not?” they complained.
Dad replied: “Because every movie contains nudity and portrays immorality as being normal and acceptable behavior.”
“But dad, those are just very small parts of the movie! That’s what our friends who’ve seen it have told us. The movie is two hours long and those scenes are just a few minutes of the total film! It’s based on a true story and good triumphs over evil, and there are other redeeming themes like courage and self-sacrifice. Even the movie review websites say that!”
“My answer is ‘no,’ and that is my final answer. You will not go and watch any film. End of discussion.”
The two teenagers walked dejectedly into the family room and slumped down on the couch. As they sulked, they were surprised to hear the sounds of their father preparing something in the kitchen.
They soon recognized the wonderful aroma of cookies baking in the oven, and one of the teenagers said to the other, “Dad must be feeling guilty, and now he’s going to try to make it up to us with some fresh cookies. Maybe we can soften him with lots of praise when he brings them out to us and persuade him to let us go to that movie after all.”
The teens were not disappointed. Soon their father appeared with a plate of warm cookies, which he offered to his kids. They each took one.
Then their father said, “Before you eat, I want to tell you something: I love you both so much.”
The teenagers smiled at each other with knowing glances. Dad was softening.
“That is why I’ve made these cookies with the very best ingredients. I’ve made them from scratch. Most of the ingredients are even organic; the best organic flour, the best free range eggs, the best organic sugar, premium vanilla and chocolate.” The cookies looked mouth-watering, and the teens began to become a little impatient with their dad’s long speech.
“But I want to be perfectly honest with you. There is one ingredient I added that is not usually found in cookies. I got that ingredient from our own back yard. But you needn’t worry, because I only added the tiniest bit of that ingredient to your cookies. The amount of the portion is practically insignificant. So go ahead, take a bite and let me know what you think?
“Dad, would you mind telling us what that mystery ingredient is before we eat?”
“Why? The portion I added was so small, just a teaspoonful. You won’t even taste it.”
“Come on, dad; just tell us what that ingredient is?”
“Don’t worry! It is organic, just like the other ingredients.”
“Dad!”
“Well, OK, if you insist. That secret ingredient is organic … cat poop.”
Both teens instantly dropped their cookies back on the plate and began inspecting their fingers with horror.
“Dad! Why did you do that? You’ve tortured us by making us smell those cookies cooking for the last half hour, and now you tell us that you added cat poop! We can’t eat these cookies!”
“Why not? The amount of cat poop is very small compared to the rest of the ingredients. It won’t hurt you. It’s been cooked right along with the other ingredients. You won’t even taste it. It has the same consistency as the cookies. Go ahead and eat!”
“No, Dad … Never!”
“And that is the same reason I won’t allow you to go watch movies. You won’t tolerate a little cat poop in your cookies, so why should you tolerate a little immorality in your movies?
